A New WORLD is Coming!

THE WORLD humanity knows will not continue forever. Scripture reveals something far greater than another political system, technological revolution, or human attempt to rebuild civilization.

A new world is coming, but humanity will not create it. God will!

Jesus Christ warned that the closing days of this present age would be marked by escalating instability: “nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom,” accompanied by famines, pestilences, and earthquakes (Matthew 24:6–7). He called these events “the beginning of sorrows.”

The Bible does not present these crises as isolated accidents. They form part of a prophetic picture showing where human civilization ultimately leads when mankind rejects God’s government.

Daniel likewise foresaw a final collision of kingdoms and powers. Yet at the climax of human history, “the God of heaven” establishes a kingdom that “shall never be destroyed” (Daniel 2:44).

Human governments rise and fall; God’s Kingdom endures forever.

The prophetic books reveal how severe the crisis becomes. Joel describes a terrifying “day of the LORD” when nations are gathered for judgment (Joel 3:12–14). Isaiah speaks of a world shaken by rebellion, injustice, and divine judgment, yet points beyond that devastation to the time when nations will “beat their swords into plowshares” and learn war no more (Isaiah 2:2–4).

Christ’s prophecy in Matthew 24 becomes even more sobering when He describes “great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world” (Matthew 24:21). Unless those days were shortened, He said, “no flesh would be saved” (verse 22).

Humanity possesses enough destructive power to threaten its own survival. Scripture therefore presents divine intervention—not human ingenuity—as the reason civilization ultimately survives.

This is where the biblical Gospel becomes profoundly different from the message often presented as Christianity today. The Gospel is not merely about believing in Christ as a personal Savior. Jesus Himself preached the Gospel of the Kingdom of God (Mark 1:14–15). He announced the coming government of God—a real Kingdom that will be established over the nations when He returns.

Revelation describes Christ returning as King of kings, confronting rebellious powers and ruling the nations (Revelation 19:11–16). The world’s final answer will not be another election, treaty, ideology, or technological breakthrough. It will be Jesus Christ reigning under the authority of God.

And the astonishing promise does not end with political peace. God intends to restore the world itself. Isaiah portrays a transformed creation where suffering and destruction give way to security and righteousness (Isaiah 11:6–9; 35:1–10).

Revelation carries that promise to its ultimate fulfilment: “the tabernacle of God is with men,” and God will wipe away every tear. “There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying” (Revelation 21:3–4).

A new world is coming. Not a world engineered by mankind, but a world restored by its Creator.

The present age will end—but God’s purpose will not. Beyond the wars, deception, suffering, and upheaval lies the greatest hope in Scripture:

the Kingdom of God ruling a renewed Earth, bringing justice, peace, righteousness, and life to humanity.

The question is not whether God’s new world is coming. The question is whether we are preparing to live under its King!
